What it is
SPT Forge (forge.sp-tarkov.com) is the official Single Player Tarkov mod platform, maintained by the SPT team under open-source on GitHub. It hosts every mod compatible with SPT with downloads, comments, version compatibility tracking, and community wiki. Replaced the legacy hub in 2024-2025. Top mods have millions of downloads (SAIN: 1.18M, Skipper: 271K).
What problem it solves
Base SPT is good but the mod ecosystem transforms it — SAIN rewrites the AI, Fika adds private multiplayer, Realism completely changes gunplay. Without a centralized hub, finding mods compatible with your SPT version was a chaos of Discord servers and forums. Forge unifies distribution with automatic compatibility tracking.
Differentiation
No competitor — it's the official SPT platform. The trade-off is that some experimental or author-distributed mods live only in private Discords; Forge covers most but not all of the long tail.
