Privacy
What data flows through TheGamerCodex and what doesn't.
Last updated: May 13, 2026.
TheGamerCodex is a static site. There are no user accounts, no personal database, and no advertising tracking. This page details the few data points that do flow through our systems.
Anonymous analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages get traffic. It is cookieless, uses no persistent identifiers, doesn't store full IPs, and aggregates the data before we see it. We know how many people visited each page, not who they are individually.
Cookies
We use one functional cookie: NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your chosen language (Spanish or English) so we keep you on that version of the site across visits. It is not shared with third parties and is not used for tracking.
Browser storage
We store two preferences in your browser's localStorage:
thegamercodex:chrome-theme— your selected visual theme (cyber or medieval).thegamercodex:tools-view— whether you prefer the grid or list layout for tools.
These live only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
Broken-link reports
When you report a broken tool through the button on a tool's detail page, we send the following fields to the project's private channel (hosted on Telegram): game ID, tool ID, active locale, and your optional comment. We do not send your IP, cookies, or any identifying information.
External links
When you click on a tool or a creator's channel, you leave TheGamerCodex for a third-party site. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control. Review them if you have questions about how they handle your data.
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal data that identifies you, there is no profile or account to delete or export. If you have a specific data-related question, email us at hello@thegamercodex.com.
