What it is
Mobalytics is a multi-game platform (League of Legends, Path of Exile, PoE 2) focused on in-browser tools. The PoE 2 section (mobalytics.gg/poe-2) offers a build tier list, builds written by partner creators, community builds via an open planner, and a build tracker to follow a chosen build's progress step by step.
The web planner covers passive tree, equipment priorities, skill gem sockets and atlas tree, and lets you share builds via URL with no Path of Building install required.
What problem it solves
For a player who wants "a solid build without fighting desktop software", Mobalytics offers a complete workflow: find the build in its tier list, open it, read gear/skills/passive tree in the browser, and follow the build tracker that marks your progress step by step as you reach items and nodes.
For creators, Mobalytics is a more accessible builder: an exportable web planner is friendlier to casual audiences than a PoB import code. Many creators dual-publish between Maxroll/own site and Mobalytics to reach readers who don't want desktop apps.
Differentiation
Compared to Maxroll, Mobalytics wins on accessibility for new players: the build tracker is a friendly abstraction Maxroll lacks, and the web planner is better optimized for non-power-users. Maxroll in turn wins on editorial depth and build curation.
Compared to Path of Building (desktop), Mobalytics doesn't compete on math simulation — it's a more casual layer over the ecosystem. The useful rule: PoB to validate mathematically, Mobalytics to discover and follow builds.
What people use it for
Quick pre-league tier list: the tier list ranks builds by archetype and difficulty. Useful for filtering from the wide creator offering which one matches your style.
Step-by-step build tracker: once you pick a build, the tracker shows checkboxes per milestone (level 30, level 60, first 6-link equivalent, etc.) with what to do at each one.
Web planner without install: to design a casual build or share with a friend, opening the planner directly in the browser is faster than opening PoB. Shareable URL.
Browse community builds: the community builds feed (/community-builds) shows creations from players without editorial filter. High volume but variable curation — useful for finding unusual combinations.
Creator profiles: each partner creator (Rob2628, Fubgun, ZurawGod, etc.) has a profile with all their published builds in one place.
Who this isn't for
If you already use PoB and are comfortable, Mobalytics doesn't add much. The simulation level it covers is a subset of PoB's. For serious endgame optimization you still want PoB.
If you're after deep written guides with editorial analysis, Maxroll pays better. Mobalytics is more visual and task-oriented (what to do now) and less theoretical (why this decision).
How it's used in practice
- Go to
mobalytics.gg/poe-2. Home shows current patch meta builds, tier list, and latest creator content. - Tier List → select difficulty / archetype / class. Click a build to land on its detail page.
- Build detail page: tabs for Skills, Equipment, Passives, Atlas. Each tab explains the why with inline illustrations and notes.
- Activate the Build Tracker (button "Track this build"). The tracker lists milestone steps in a persistent sidebar.
- To create your own build: Planner (
/planner/builds). Build in the browser, export link, share.
Honest limitations
English only. No Spanish localization.
Bias toward popular partner-creator builds. The tier list and home highlights favor builds from creators with commercial relationships / partnerships. They aren't bad builds, but it's not an impartial ranking.
Lower simulation depth than PoB. The web planner covers the basics; when you start optimizing (exact DPS vs different enemy archetypes, side-by-side item comparison) you fall short and return to PoB.
Some sections have ads or premium upsell. The ad-removal feature and unlocking parts of the build tracker require a Mobalytics+ subscription. Clearly marked but present.
Community builds aren't editorially curated. Anyone publishes. Expect high quality variation.
How to start
No registration required for browsing. Go to mobalytics.gg/poe-2 and explore. If you want to Track Builds or publish your own, sign up for the free account.
To integrate it: if you're new or casual, leave Mobalytics as your discovery hub (tier list, build tracker). For serious optimization, keep going to PoB and Maxroll. For casual players it can be all they need.
