Windrose DB

Focused talent tree builder: plan builds with visual allocation across the 4 branches and export via link

FreeBeginner

What it is

Windrose DB (windrose-db.com) is a web talent tree planner launched in the first weeks after Early Access. It visualizes the game's four talent branches (Crusher, Fencer, Marksman, Toughguy) as a clickable tree, simulates distribution of the 12 talent points available at level 15, and produces a shareable URL with your build. Free, no login, no aggressive ads.

What problem it solves

Some players want to plan talents without opening a site that also shows maps, items, damage calculators and discoveries. Windrose DB targets exactly that niche: clean screen, single-focus, no information overload. Ideal for quick mobile use or when you already know the system and just need to iterate on a build.

Differentiation

  • Windrose.tools covers talents but as one of many functions. Windrose DB strips the rest of the UI.
  • Calculators.games shows you the numbers behind the build. Windrose DB doesn't calculate damage, only plans allocation.
  • Against both, Windrose DB's edge is speed: the page loads fast, the UI is focused, doesn't distract.

What people use it for

  • Iterate fast on talent allocations: when you already know what you want to achieve and just need to test variants.
  • Share builds on chats/Discord: the URL is short and opens directly to the build, no intermediate steps.
  • Planning from mobile: the UI is compact enough to work on a small screen.
  • Document builds for guides: streamers or guide-writers use it as visual reference when explaining a build on video.

Who this tool is NOT for

If you need item lookup, the interactive map, discovery tracker, or damage calculator, this tool doesn't have them. It's deliberately narrow. Any need beyond "plan talents" requires another site.

How it's used in practice

  1. Open windrose-db.com/talents.
  2. Select the main branch (Crusher / Fencer / Marksman / Toughguy) in the top selector.
  3. Click on the talents you want to pick; the points counter shows how many you have left (out of 12 total).
  4. When done, copy the page URL — it encodes the complete build.
  5. To load someone else's build: paste the URL in the browser, the build renders with the allocation loaded.

Honest limitations

  • No damage calculator: to validate the build's output you need Calculators.games or another tool.
  • No stats allocation: the 45 stat points (Strength/Dexterity/etc.) aren't covered here, only the 12 talent points.
  • English only: no localization.
  • Discreet roadmap: the creator doesn't communicate frequently, so it's unclear what features are in the works. It's active (data updated with patches) but the cadence of improvements is informal.

How to get started

Open windrose-db.com → "Talents" in the nav. Pick a branch and start clicking talents. First time takes 2-3 minutes to understand the layout; after that, it's the fastest tool available for iterating talent builds.
