Tool stack
The WoW endgame toolkit
The six tools that separate a casual raider or Mythic+ player from an optimized one — sims, logs, score, and guides. The stack for performing in hard content.
World of Warcraft's endgame —mythic raids and high Mythic+ keys— is where optimization stops being optional. The difference between wiping and killing a boss often comes down to decisions the game never explains: which talents to run, which piece to equip, where you're losing DPS. This stack fills exactly that gap with six tools most serious players keep on hand at all times.
The optimization workflow
It all starts with the theory: Icy Veins gives you your spec's guide —rotation, talents, stat priority— updated for the current patch. It's your starting point before tuning anything.
From there, you stop guessing. Raidbots simulates your character and, with Droptimizer, tells you exactly how much DPS each available loot piece adds: no more equipping on instinct. After each raid, Warcraft Logs turns your fight into data: percentile parse, buff uptime, avoidable deaths, compared against millions of other players. WoWAnalyzer complements that with automated analysis flagging concrete leaks —a cooldown you didn't use, a cast you dropped.
For Mythic+, Raider.IO is the standard: your score, your key history, and the tool the rest of the world uses to build groups. And underneath it all, Wowhead is the encyclopedia: every boss's mechanics, drops, quests, and the guides that hold the rest together.
Why these six
They cover both sides of endgame without redundancy:
- Theory and prep → Icy Veins + Wowhead
- Optimization by numbers → Raidbots
- Performance analysis → Warcraft Logs + WoWAnalyzer
- Mythic+ and groups → Raider.IO
You don't need all six to step into a raid, but you do to improve consistently. Each one has its full analysis in the codex.
