Genshin Center

Daily farming and character progression planner based on your goals

FreeOpen sourceBeginner

What it is

Genshin Center is an open source web application that automates farming planning in Genshin Impact. You tell it which characters you want to improve and to what target level, and the tool calculates exactly what materials you need, which domains to run each day of the week, and how long (in resin) it'll take to reach your goals.

Unlike tools like Genshin Optimizer that help you optimize what you already have, or KQM that tells you what goals to pursue, Genshin Center covers the intermediate phase: how to get from where you are to where you want to be efficiently.

It's completely free, no registration required, maintained as open source project with code on GitHub. Currently only available in English.

What problem it solves

Genshin Impact has a complex farming system with multiple layers:

Limited daily resin: you have 160-180 resin points per day (with condensations), and each farming activity consumes fixed amount (boss = 40, domain = 20). Once spent, you wait 8 minutes per point.

Rotating domains: talent and weapon domains only drop certain specific materials based on day of the week. Monday/Thursday drop certain sets, Tuesday/Friday others, Wednesday/Saturday more. Sundays drop everything.

Multiple simultaneous characters: typically you want to improve several characters at the same time, each requiring different materials.

Specific boss materials: each character needs material from a specific boss to ascend. Some bosses drop for multiple characters, others are unique.

Talent books with three types per element: each element has three categories of talent books (Freedom/Resistance/Ballad for Mondstadt, etc.), distributed across different days.

Without planning, players frequently:

Waste resin farming the "wrong" thing one day (example: run Resistance domain when they need Freedom).

Get blocked without a specific material when they have excess of others.

Don't efficiently coordinate farming between multiple characters.

Lose productive farming days by not knowing what to prioritize.

Genshin Center solves this by delivering personalized schedule: "today is Tuesday, run domain X twice, tomorrow is Wednesday, run domain Y three times", based mathematically on your specific goals.

What people use it for

Planning ascension of new characters: you got a 5-star character and want to ascend them to 90 with talents 9/9/9. Genshin Center shows you exactly how many weeks it'll take and what to do each day during that time.

Coordinating progression of multiple characters: you're improving 3 characters simultaneously. Genshin Center balances materials between them and tells you what to prioritize when there are schedule conflicts.

Estimating time to goals: how long will it take to have this team fully ascended? Genshin Center gives realistic estimate in days/weeks based on consistent farming.

Efficiently using condensed resin: if you buy condensed resin from Welkin Moon or have excess, Genshin Center tells you how to invest it optimally.

Pre-banner planning: you're waiting for a character in future banner. Genshin Center helps you pre-farm materials you know you'll need, saving time when you obtain the character.

Identifying bottlenecks: why can't you ascend Hu Tao to 90? Genshin Center shows you exactly what materials you're missing and where to get them.

Optimizing weekly bosses: each week you can fight weekly bosses once with cost discount. Genshin Center helps you decide which to prioritize based on your current goals.

How it complements other ecosystem tools

Genshin Center occupies a specific niche in the optimization flow:

Typical planning workflow:

  1. KQM tells you what target stats and builds to aim for your characters.

  2. Honey Hunter World gives you exact data on materials needed to reach those levels.

  3. Genshin Center organizes those materials into efficient daily farming schedule.

  4. Genshin Optimizer applies the farmed artifacts to your inventory for maximum performance.

The four tools cover the complete cycle: strategic planning (KQM), primary data (Honey), tactical planning (Genshin Center), application (GO).

Before Genshin Center, this tactical planning was done manually with spreadsheets or intuition. The automation adds genuine value, especially for players with multiple active characters.

Who this tool is for

Good for: players who want systematic progression, users with multiple characters in simultaneous improvement, players who value efficiency and hate wasting resin, planners who enjoy optimizing workflows.

Not essential for: casual players who farm based on how they feel each day, users with only one active character not needing coordination, players who prefer organic progress without strict planning.

If wasting resin or feeling like you don't progress with your characters frustrates you, Genshin Center will transform your workflow. If you don't care about progression pace, it's overkill.

Honest limitations

English only. For Spanish-speaking audience, there's language barrier. Domain names, materials, and characters are in English. Although the interface is fairly visual, technical terms may require mental translation.

Initial setup takes time. For Genshin Center to be useful, you need to input your characters with their current levels and goals. If you have 30 active characters, this can take 30-45 minutes the first time.

Doesn't consider RNG. Calculations assume average drop rates. Reality can vary: some days you have bad luck and a domain drops fewer materials than expected. Genshin Center doesn't compensate for this, so time estimates are approximate, not exact.

Doesn't include gameplay considerations. The tool optimizes farming but doesn't consider other aspects: that some characters are better as sub-DPS without full ascension, that certain talents are more priority than others for actual gameplay, etc. Must be combined with general game knowledge.

Updates can lag. When new characters or materials launch, Genshin Center needs to update. As open source project with limited maintainers, this can take days.

No account sync. Your data is saved locally in browser. If you change browser or clear cookies, you lose your plan. To prevent this, export your data periodically.

Some functionalities require understanding Genshin's system. To get maximum benefit, you need to know what talent books for each element are, which bosses drop what, etc. For beginner users, this can be a barrier.

Doesn't consider weekly boss matchups. Some weekly bosses drop materials for multiple characters. The tool may suggest a specific boss without highlighting that this boss can also drop useful material for other characters in your plan.

How it's used in practice

The basic flow is:

  1. You go to genshin-center.com. It shows you interface to add characters.

  2. For each character you want to plan:

You select them from the list.

You input their current level.

You input your goal (e.g., level 80, talents 8/8/8).

  1. You repeat for all characters in your plan.

  2. The tool automatically calculates:

Total materials needed.

Domains you need to run.

Schedule by day of the week.

Estimated farming days.

  1. Each day you consult the tool to see what to do that specific day.

For continuous use, recommendation: update your progress periodically. When you reach a goal (you ascended a character), mark it. When you add a new character, input it. The tool recalculates automatically with each change.

For advanced users, it's worth coordinating Genshin Center with Paimon.moe (which tracks your primogems for wishes) to have complete vision: when you'll get the next character and when you'll have them ready to use.

How to get started

Doesn't require installation, registration, or account. You go to genshin-center.com from any browser.

For your first time, practical recommendation: start with ONE character, don't try to input all your 30 characters immediately. Choose your main character or the one you most want to improve, input their current level and goal, and observe what it recommends. This familiarizes you with the format without overwhelming.

Once you see the value with one character, then it's worth investing time in inputting your complete roster. With 5-10 active characters, coordination between them is where Genshin Center most shines.

For Spanish users, the language barrier may be real. Consider:

Have Google Translate ready for unknown terms.

Know main domain names in English (Forsaken Rift, Hidden Palace of Lianshan Formula, etc.).

If the barrier is too strong, consider alternative tools like farming recommendations within Paimon.moe.

For maximum benefit, combine Genshin Center with KQM (defines what goals to pursue), Honey Hunter World (verifies materials data), Paimon.moe (tracks primogems), and Genshin Optimizer (applies farmed artifacts). Each tool brings unique perspective in the complete character progression cycle.
