What it is
CS Stats (csstats.gg) is a web-based CS2 match history tracker emphasizing simplicity. Paste your Steam ID or profile link and it returns a profile with recent matches, aggregated stats, per-map breakdown, ELO evolution, and regional leaderboard position.
Its origins are tied to the ESEA ecosystem — historically it was the most complete tool for ESEA Premier/Main players who wanted detailed tracking outside the platform. With CS2 it expanded to cover Valve matchmaking (Premier and Competitive) in addition to Faceit and ESEA.
The design is functional but minimalist. No AI scoring, no 2D replay, no coaching. Just clean numbers. For many players that's exactly what they want.
What problem it solves
There's a cluster of match history tools (Leetify, scope.gg, Tracker.gg) aimed at coaching or deep analysis, all with paywalls and learning curves. For the player who just wants "show me my last month's KDA and per-map win rate," those tools are overkill.
CS Stats covers that minimalist case. No mandatory registration, no desktop client, no upsell. Paste your ID, see your stats. It's the closest thing to "open the client profile and see info" — except it does it better than the client itself.
What people use it for
Quick personal stats lookup: aggregated KDA, win rate, most-played map, current rank. Five-second lookup and you have your pulse.
ELO evolution tracking: historical rank graph — useful for spotting tilts, streaks, and verifying whether you're improving or plateauing.
Per-map stats: seeing where you're stronger (better win rate on Mirage, worse on Inferno) — useful for deciding what to practice and what to avoid in map veto.
Scouting teammates/opponents: paste the other person's Steam ID and see their recent matches. Simpler than Leetify for casual use.
Regional leaderboards: seeing where you fall in your region/rank — more curiosity than utility but engaging.
Who this tool isn't for
CS Stats is excellent as a lightweight tracker but it isn't:
- Coaching or deep analysis → to understand what to fix (not just what happened), Leetify is the right one.
- Demo viewer → for visually seeing your matches, scope.gg.
- Multi-game tracker → CS only. If you play multiple games and want a single dashboard, Tracker.gg.
- Granular stats by tactical situation → CS Stats aggregates well but doesn't cross dimensions like "my win rate as CT on Mirage when they lock A site." For that you need deeper parsers.
- Seasonal Premier context → CS Stats tracks ELO but doesn't compute seasonal placement breakdowns like more specialized tools do.
How it's used in practice
Go to
csstats.gg. The home has a large input for Steam ID or vanity URL.Paste your Steam profile link and the page loads your profile without login.
Main tabs: Overview (aggregated stats + recent matches), Maps (per-map breakdown), Weapons (kills per weapon), History (paginated match list).
Clicking on an individual match opens the detail with full scoreboard, per-player stats, and link to the demo if available.
If you create an account (Steam OAuth), you can track historical ELO and favorites.
Honest limitations
Not real-time: like all third parties, data comes from Valve's public API with minutes-to-hours lag. To review the match you just finished, wait a bit.
No editorial context: it gives you numbers but no opinion. If you want to be told "your utility is weak," this won't.
Somewhat ad-heavy UX: the free version shows ads. Tolerable but present.
Premier vs Competitive coverage: Premier has cleaner tracking because its ELO is public; Competitive is more fragmented and data can be missing.
No desktop or mobile app: web only. Works on mobile but not optimized.
Sparse documentation of how certain metrics are computed: unlike HLTV which documents its Rating, csstats.gg shows numbers without explaining methodology in detail. For casual users it doesn't matter, for curious analysts it does.
How to get started
Go to
csstats.gg.Paste your Steam profile URL into the main input.
Bookmark your profile for direct access.
If you want historical ELO tracking and comparisons, log in with Steam OAuth.
For combined use with other tools: csstats.gg for quick overview + Leetify or scope.gg when you want a deep dive into a specific match or category.
