FFXIV Collect

Collection tracker: mounts, minions, orchestrions, achievements, bardings, and armoires showing your personal progress cross-referenced with Lodestone

FreeOpen sourceBeginner

What it is

FFXIV Collect (ffxivcollect.com) is an open-source FFXIV tracker maintained by Joshua Walsh. It scrapes Lodestone (with player permission via login) to extract your current collection and compare it against the game's master list. Open source on GitHub (joshua-walsh/ffxiv-collect).

It tracks:

  • Mounts: full list with thumbnails, source (drop/quest/event/store).
  • Minions: similar.
  • Orchestrion rolls (music tracks): full set with source and drop zone.
  • Achievements: only public ones (some hidden ones don't appear on Lodestone).
  • Bardings (chocobo cosmetics): less obvious collection.
  • Armoires (cosmetic storage): which armoired items you own.
  • Triple Triad cards: the card game side-content.
  • Emotes, hairstyles, framings (gpose).

Free, no login required to browse. Login by linking your Lodestone for personal tracking.

What problem it solves

FFXIV has hundreds of collectibles (mounts: 250+, minions: 450+, orchestrions: 600+, etc.). Manually tracking what you have vs missing is impossible without a tool. Lodestone shows what you have but not compared to the total nor with detailed sources.

FFXIV Collect solves:

  • Completion stats: tells you "you have X of Y" for each category.
  • Missing items with source: lists what you're missing with how-to-get info.
  • Cross-account comparison: compare your collection with a friend's.
  • Achievement hunting paths: shows which activities give completion bonuses.

For completionists, indispensable. Without this, hunting collectibles is blind.

How it differs from Eorzea Collection

  • FFXIV Collect: personal tracker of your current collection. Accountant.
  • Eorzea Collection: public catalog of glamour builds. Inspirational.

EC shows you what exists and looks pretty. FFXIV Collect tells you what you have and what's missing. Complementary.

What people actually use it for

Completion tracking: your priority is achievement hunting. FFXIV Collect shows your progress (mounts 64%, minions 41%, etc.) and what you're missing.

Filter what you need: filters by source (raid drop, FATE, quest, event). Tells you what to do next to bump completion.

Compare collections with friends: link your char and a friend's, see side-by-side what each one has.

Pre-event reminder: when there's a seasonal event with limited cosmetics (Heavensturn, Hatching-tide), FFXIV Collect tells you what you're missing.

Veterans' show-off: if you have a big collection, FFXIV Collect is where you display the high completion %.

Who it's NOT for

  • Non-completionist players: if you don't care about "having everything", tracking adds nothing. Play what's fun and don't worry.
  • Anyone wanting glamour inspiration: for that, Eorzea Collection.
  • Free Trial players: your account is limited and Lodestone visibility may be restricted.
  • JP region players: although it works in JP, the community is predominantly EN/EU.
  • Console-only: the web site is desktop-friendly; mobile works but less comfortable.

How it's actually used

  1. Go to ffxivcollect.com.

  2. Click "Add Character" → enter Lodestone ID (numeric, findable in your Lodestone profile URL).

  3. FFXIV Collect scrapes Lodestone (takes 1-2 minutes for chars with large collections).

  4. Once synced, see your dashboard: completion % per category.

  5. Click a category (Mounts) → see the full sorted list: what you have checked, what's missing with source info.

  6. Filters: by source type (raid, quest, event, store), expansion, etc.

  7. For continuous tracking, re-sync every 1-2 weeks or when adding new items.

Honest limitations

Depends on Lodestone: if Lodestone has downtime or takes time to update your collection post-clear, FFXIV Collect reflects stale data.

Hidden achievements don't appear: some achievements are deliberately hidden by SE. FFXIV Collect only tracks visible ones.

Some collectibles invisible from Lodestone: items that aren't on your Lodestone profile (some vouchers, currencies) aren't tracked.

Desktop-first UI: mobile works but the amount of info per page makes it tough.

Single maintainer: Joshua maintains it solo. No team, updates can take time. Historically active.

No native notifications: doesn't notify you when a new item is added to the game (post-patch). You re-check manually.

How to get started

  1. Go to ffxivcollect.com.

  2. Find your Lodestone ID: go to your Lodestone profile, the URL ends with a numeric ID. Copy it.

  3. In FFXIV Collect, "Add Character" → paste ID → submit.

  4. Wait for scrape (1-2 min). Your dashboard appears.

  5. Browse the categories you care about. Filter by "Not Owned" to focus on hunting list.

  6. When you get a new item, re-sync manually to update.

  7. For comparison with friends: share your char URL in FFXIV Collect; they can compare without login (if their collection is public on Lodestone).

  8. Combine with Eorzea Collection for discovery + glamour planning, FFXIV Collect for accounting your own progress.
