What it is

TempleOSRS is a free tracking and statistics website for Old School RuneScape. Like the other trackers, it leans on the official hiscores to record your progress, but it stands out for the depth of its data: it actively maintains EHP and EHB rates, offers detailed boss and activity tracking, drop logs and a collection log tracking system that absorbed much of what collectionlog.net used to do.

It's funded by optional supporter donations and developed by a small group of volunteers. Its orientation is clearly power-user: it's very information-dense and rewards anyone who knows what they're looking at.

What problem it solves

The official hiscores keep no history and no detail. TempleOSRS not only closes that basic "how much did I progress" gap but goes several steps further: it lets you audit your collection log, log drops and look up efficiency rates maintained with community judgment.

For the player chasing an exhaustive grind (completing the collection log, optimizing EHP, documenting every relevant drop), Temple is the tool that turns that level of detail into something you can query and compare against other players.

Differentiation

It competes with Wise Old Man and Crystal Math Labs, and each occupies a distinct niche:

  • TempleOSRS is the deepest on data: drop logs, collection log tracking and actively maintained EHP/EHB rates make it the favorite of power users.
  • Wise Old Man is more modern and open source, with better RuneLite integration and a more polished, accessible competitions system.
  • Crystal Math Labs is the OG inventor of EHP, with the longest historical XP archive but a fairly dated UI.

Temple wins when what you want is information density and features the others don't have as developed, especially everything related to the collection log.

What people use it for

  • Tracking the collection log: following which items you're missing and comparing your collection progress against ladders and categories.
  • Logging drops: persistently documenting the drops obtained from bosses and specific content.
  • Looking up EHP/EHB rates: using Temple's maintained rates to plan efficient skilling and bossing methods.
  • Running detailed competitions: organizing clan events with fine-grained metrics beyond raw XP.
  • Auditing bosses and activities: reviewing kill counts and per-boss stats at high granularity.

Who this tool is NOT for

It's not for someone just starting to track who wants something simple and clean: Wise Old Man is friendlier there. It's also not for someone after the oldest historical dataset, where Crystal Math Labs has years of advantage. And if you only want to see your weekly XP without getting into collection log or drop logs, Temple's density can feel excessive.

How it's used in practice

  1. Go to templeosrs.com and search for your OSRS username to create or update your profile.
  2. Explore the overview, bosses and activities tabs to see your detailed progress.
  3. Enable the plugin sync if you want your collection log to update automatically.
  4. Check the EHP/EHB rate pages to plan your next grinds.
  5. For clans, set up a group and use the competition tools for events.

Honest limitations

  • Learning curve: the information density can overwhelm new users who only wanted to see XP gains.
  • Less polished UI than WOM: it prioritizes data over aesthetics; it's not as modern or guided as Wise Old Man.
  • Not open source: unlike Wise Old Man, you can't audit or contribute to the code.
  • Donation-dependent: development is sustained by a small group of volunteers funded by supporters, without the structure of a commercial project.

How to get started

Go to templeosrs.com, search for your name and update your profile from the hiscores. If you care about the collection log or drop logs, enable the plugin sync in RuneLite. Take some time to explore the tabs: Temple rewards curiosity and is where you'll find the most detail of the three trackers. It's free, with optional donations if you want to support the project.
