Tool stack

The Windrose toolkit

The five tools that accompany a Windrose playthrough — mod manager, build planning, database, wiki, and mod hub. The stack to organize and customize your experience.

5 toolsLast verified: June 3, 2026

Windrose combines character progression with an active mod ecosystem, and as in any game with that mix, external tools make the difference between playing blind and playing with a plan. This five-tool stack gathers the essentials for planning your build, looking up data, and keeping a tidy mod setup.

How you use it

To build your character wisely, Windrose Tools offers the planning and build tools that let you design your setup before investing in the game. When you need concrete data —which item, which stats, what to chase— Windrose DB is the database, and the Windrose Wiki is the reference with mechanics, content, and guides for specific questions.

On the mod side, Windrose Mod Manager is the dedicated manager: it installs, updates, and organizes your mods without you touching files by hand. And Nexus Mods is the community hub, where the quality-of-life content and extra tweaks come from.

Why these five

Each covers a layer of the game:

  • Mod management → Windrose Mod Manager
  • Build planning → Windrose Tools
  • Database → Windrose DB
  • Reference → Windrose Wiki
  • Mod hub → Nexus Mods

Being a niche game, its ecosystem keeps growing, but these five already cover the essentials to organize and customize your experience. Each tool has its full analysis in the codex.
