Blizzard's massive ARPG: cinematic campaign, seasonal endgame, visceral combat
Blizzard ARPG launched in June 2023 after a decade since Diablo III. Slower, more deliberate combat than its predecessors, a seasonal system with mechanic shifts every 3 months, and an endgame that evolves patch by patch through The Pit, Infernal Hordes, and Tormented bosses.

If Mobalytics is your primary hub (visual cards, tier lists), Mobalytics Overlay. If D4Builds (community sharing, Rob2628 curated), D4Builds Overlay. Functionally similar โ the hub content is what decides.
D4builds.gg to discover existing builds and validate ideas with the community. D4 Planner for iterative planning on your own time without needing to publish. Complementary.
D4 Planner to create a full build from scratch. D4Paragon for granular paragon system optimization when you already have skills and gear defined. Complementary in serious workflow.
Diablo.Trade for day-to-day trading volume and D4-specific UX. Traderie as an alternative for high-value item auctions and cross-game collectors. Serious flippers monitor both.
Diablo4codex for seasonal grind and Codex of Power. Diablo 4 Dad for comprehensive world completion (altars, statues, glyphs, mounts). For ultra-completionists, both in sequence cover everything.
Helltides.com if you just want a quick timer to optimize cinder farming. Diablo4.life if you want a centralized hub for multiple events + utilities + light builds.
Maxroll if you want to understand the why behind each decision and read long build guides with justification. Mobalytics if you just want a quick scan of meta state and visual build comparison. Many players use both โ Mobalytics to scan, Maxroll to deep-dive the chosen build.
Mobalytics if you want modern visual and quick scan. Icy Veins if you prefer long-form prose reading without video distractions. Both competitive but to different audiences.
Wowhead for technical queries (what stats does this aspect have?, where does it drop?). Fextralife for walkthroughs and narrative context (how do I do this quest?, lore of this boss?). Complementary.
MacroBioBoi is the Necromancer and Warlock specialist in D4 โ his content covers those two classes extensively with detailed builds, speed-farming variants, and class-specific patch reactions. Also posts D2R content as crossover. If you play Necromancer in D4, his channel is among the most complete for the class. Associated with the Maxroll team โ his guides appear integrated.
Rhykker is the Diablo creator with the broadest audience โ large channel with coverage of news, patch reactions, aggregated tier lists, and events. His tone is accessible and mainstream, making his content ideal for newcomers wanting a general picture without diving into deep theorycraft. Covers the entire Diablo franchise (D2R, D3, D4, expansions).
Rob2628 is the most prolific D4 creator on YouTube โ posts multiple videos a day covering builds, theorycraft, speedfarming, and patch reactions. His content has an energetic tone and focuses on endgame optimization. When a balance change drops, Rob usually has an analysis video out within the first 24 hours. For players actively farming Pit and Helltides, his channel is a constant reference.
Wudijo is one of the most respected creators in the Diablo scene โ covered D3 at a high level and migrated to D4 at launch. His content combines practical builds with deep dives explaining mechanics, damage formulas, and hardcore play. Calm, educational tone, opposite to the hype of some creators. Excellent for players who want to understand the why, not just the what.

Diablo IV (D4) is the fourth numbered entry in Blizzard's Diablo franchise, launched June 6, 2023 after a decade since Diablo III. It's an isometric ARPG with real-time combat, loot grind, and gear/paragon progression rooted in the genre Diablo II established in 2000.
Unlike D3, D4 deliberately targeted a darker tone and more deliberate combat pacing. It's an atmospheric return to the gothic Diablo of the early entries, with a cinematic narrative campaign (~25-35 hours), an open world shared between players covering Sanctuary's five districts, and an endgame that's expanded patch by patch.
The model is buy-to-play ($70 USD base + ~$40 per expansion), no monthly subscription. Vessel of Hatred (October 2024) was the first expansion, adding the Spiritborn class and the Nahantu region. The announced cycle is annual expansion with seasonal patches every ~3 months in between.
D4 is the largest mainstream ARPG on the market in 2026. Where Path of Exile caters to hardcore-niche players with maximum depth and Last Epoch aims for a middle ground, D4 prioritizes accessibility and presentation polish โ full voice-acted campaign, Blizzard-quality cutscenes, and clear UI that onboards casuals without sacrificing the endgame for hardcore players.
The seasonal system follows the PoE model: every ~3 months a new season starts with a mechanic theme (in 2026, Season of Hatred Reborn, S13). Players choose "Eternal Realm" (permanent characters, slow) or "Seasonal Realm" (fresh start every 3 months, new mechanics). The seasonal competitive scene revolves around world bosses, Pit pushing, and leaderboards.
The endgame after the campaign includes:
D4 has a less atomized tool ecosystem than PoE (where 30+ specialized tools exist) but more concentrated in big hubs:
Blizzard maintains a stricter relationship with third-party tools than other ARPG devs โ there's no equivalent of Path of Building with gear extraction from the client, because D4 doesn't expose that data. Planners work from manual input.
S13 (Season of Hatred Reborn) is ongoing. The Vessel of Hatred expansion added the Spiritborn class, which significantly rebalanced the competitive meta โ post-launch, Spiritborn is the most dominant class in push content. Monthly patch notes adjust balance between seasons.
The Spanish-speaking D4 community is solid โ Blizzard fully localizes the game to Spanish (audio + text) and there are active Spanish-speaking creators. Alongside PoE 1 and PoE 2, D4 completes the codex's ARPG cluster with direct genre affinity.
